About the campaign
Donations for this campaign will be spent to purchase an inverter generator and uninterruptible power supply (battery backup) and all required supplies and technical installation services to power all MaxM servers during power outages to provide 100% uptime.
MaxM websites are hosted on private computer servers in the home of MaxM's founder and consist of 4 physical machines that must be operational and online at all times:
1. Firewall server
2. Email server
3. Website server
4. CDN server (for storing and hosting videos, audios and photos)
Due to the delicate nature of computer hardware and their vulnerability for damage, an inverter generator and uninterruptible power supply battery backup must be used to provide consistent clean electricity that does not fluctuate like traditional generators provide. The CyberPower Smart App Sinewave PR3000LCD provides battery backup, power protection (using sine wave output), and surge protection for corporate servers, department servers, storage appliances, network devices, and telecom installations requiring Active PFC power source compatibility. The PR3000LCD uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life.
Installation requires minor electrical upgrades to provide proper connectivity to the main circuit breaker using a NEMA 5-20P electrical plug.
